Ketep Pass [Viewing Post]

Ketep Pass is a mountain tourism is one of the mainstays in the province of Central Java. Mountain tourist spot was unveiled in 2002. This tourist attraction located in the District Sawangan, Magelang, Central Java. About 3 hours journey from provincial capital, Semarang, or 1 hour from the city of Magelang with motor vehicles.

Ketep Pass located at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level, Ketep Pass offers gorgeous views of the typical mountain. In addition, you can also pamper the eyes with a look at three other mountains, that Sindoro, Sumbing, and Slamet. When the views of five mountain is not enough, you will still be able to see some hills, namely Bukit Tidar, Andong, Menoreh, and Telomoyo. Javanese Dance [Central Java]

 Central Java, a province located in Indonesia. Here there are many different kinds of art. One is dancing, in Central Java, there are many different types of dances. Every city in here have a typical dance. I will introduce a few dances from central Java which has a unique charm. Okay let's start from the name of the dance that has the name of an animal:
- Kuda Lumping dance
This dance originated from the region of Central Java. This dance uses a mock horse and a whip. Usually the dancers use "krincingan" on their toes in order to produce the sound of a bell. Costumes of the dancers also symbolizes the culture central java. This dance usually perform physical immunity of the dancers. For example, by stepping on hot coals, eating broken glass, and eating chickens alive. All abilities were obtained from the spirits of their ancestors into the dancer's body.

Visit Borobudur Temple

Borobudur is located at Kabupaten Magelang, Central Java,Indonesia . Borobudur is the one of Seven Wonders in the world. Beside that , people live around borobudur temple mayority worked as merchants and craftsman. Because the local people want to introduce the original handcraft from borobudur to the world. One of the original handcraft is replica of borobudur temple . The material is from grilled rock , the rock is original from merapi volcano one of the active and dangerious volcano in the world.

The Legend Of "Bukit Tidar"

Years ago the island of Java is the island that is still empty and no inhabitants. Java island is surrounded by sea, so that the island of Java shaken like a boat. and the gods think that can withstand strong Java island between oceans. The gods stuck a nail in the middle of the island of Java.

Spikes plugged it turned into a hill called "Mount Tidar". On the hill was once inhabited by the astral beings and jinn. King of the Jinn is Kiai Semar. One day there was a man named Sheikh Bakir magic that comes from Turkey. He wanted to live in the hills Tidar, but Kiai Semar not like the arrival of Sheikh Bakir. And a battle ensued between the two. Sheikh Bakir using weapons such as spears called Kiai Sepanjang.
Sheikh Bakir beat Kiai Semar with the weapon. Kiai Semar and his followers fled Bukit Tidar and some fled to Mount Merapi. Sheikh Bakir spear stuck on a hill top hill Tidar Tidar as guards so that no one approaching astral beings.
